Need recommendation for MB

Hi Guys,

I'm looking for a replacement for my Gigabyte H77M-D3H MB. I think it died. Power on, fan turn a bit then stopped completely without even a single beep. Tried short test on my Seasonic 520W PSU and it is still running. I guess I can reuse right?

Any recommended MB that supports Micro ATX form factor with dual memory slots?

PC often used for adobe photoshop graphics design. I'm using integrate graphics from H77M-D3H. My CPU is Intel i5 3570.

Gigabyte motherboards are known to have Self corruption BIOS issue, try to recover to ur secondary BIOS

buy a replacement board from lazada,aliexpress,carosuell (50-70 SGD)

I totally cannot boot. Can't even go pass Post. Yku mean buy back the same motherboard?

when a BIOS is corrupted it will not POST


Please go and try the steps in the link I provided.

try replacing the CMOS battery also.


if cannot, go buy a LGA1155 Board online ( cheaper)

Yes try replace CMOS battery first. My asrock MB replace CMOS batt can power up.

I have also replace with a new cmos. Fan move a little when I power up, then it stop without any beep. Followed the guide above to enter backup bios also did not work.

Or u can search on carosuell for a used H77 Board. or go SLS and look for old stocks ( more epensive)

try to get a board with the same chipset (H77 in your case) to reduce having issues


or u can buy a new cpu+mbo+ram combo ( ryzen) (

Actually I'm thinking of second option also. Just not sure what to buy with my usage. I don't play game v with this machine. Purely watch YouTube, do Adobe design.

if you stick to the same chipset, it's gonna work right out of the box

if you use a different chipset. say a H61 instead of a H77. Your OS *Might* not boot. and u might need to re-install the drivers however, windows 10 is very smart at detecting hardware. so i don't think that its gonna be an issue



Or just get a whole new AMD Combo bah. I think your board-lasted very long already

then get an H61/b75 chipset, should work. its cheaper also

If you want to the Ryzen route, cheapest would be to get Ryzen 3 3200G with any A320M MB. Local bundle price around $250, although you can get slightly cheaper if you buy from Amazon. You will also need to buy new set of RAM around, 16 GB around $80-100.

any brand would work. A320 is a budget chipset, just get the cheapest
