need recommendation for new laptop

Well, here a good suggestion for starter~ try AftershockPC.com, the only company provide maintenance support for their product (Clean dust away from your notebook 1-2times a year) Thumb up for them.

And some series still come with add-on services (+ another GPU for Titan, upgrade your processor, add-on another HDD/SSD upgrade a better wireless adapter and Color Calibration for designer )

You cant buy a laptop on aftershock at 1500. The minimum is 1600 since most people needs an OS.

13 to 15 inch shuld be fine. Basically lookin for a laptop at least able play most games on at least medium setinhs. Sry late reply. In army. **** the army.

I went to notebookcheck.net and saw that the nvidia gt740m can only support crysis 3 on low settings at about 40fps. Barely playable. I would reccomend getting a laptop that has at least a ddr5 gt750m.

The one you see how many GB of graphics? Laptops that comes with DDR5 graphics don't come cheap.

Asus = Bad WiFi~, but the audio is superb, i still used mine to watch video.
Acer = Value equal Durability, unless you just unlucky to get a defect unit
Toshiba = Nothing to compare about
Dell = Overpriced
HP = Depend luck, i face lot of MoBo and Hdd Issue when i uses HP.

Love style --> Asus, Dell
Budget --> Acer, Hp
Business --> Lenovo, Toshiba

Agree that Dell is overpriced. Especially their XPS & Alienware. As for HP & Acer, I don't recommend it.

That MSI sounds like a really good deal. I might reconsider getting a y410p. The i7-4800 seems overkill though.
Is the 750m in the msi ddr3 or ddr5? The one in the asus seems to be ddr3.
