Hi, would like to get a new rig for my Sister.
The purpose of the rig will be as follow:

Highest setting possible for SIMS 4 without latency
Surfing web and watching videos
For school work/research (Degree)
and sometime for me to use it for CS and Dota as well.
I am hoping to look at the Nvidia series of GPU
Need Wifi connection as well

Would highly appreciate that the budget is not too high :X
hopefully within 900+ range (hopefully no more than 950 to 1000)

Anyway i have a extra 120GB SSD, a 2year old 1TB Harddisk from WD and also a LG monitor as well (hopefully can be reuse).
Need a Windows as well

CPU+MOBO: ASRock H81M dgs + g3240 - $152
RAM: G.skill DDR3 8Gb 1600mhz value ram - $98
GPU: Zotac gtx 750ti 2gb - $219
PSU: FSP 300W - $39
CASE: CM 344 - $44
ODD: LG 24x dvd-rw SATA OEM - $25

All price extracted from PCthemes, ASK FOR DISCOUNT!!! Go tradepac, might be even cheaper by 3% but doesn't carry the same stock.

For wifi connection, get a USB wireless stick. Don't get ASUS cause its overprice. Get from brand like TP-link, Dlink and Aztech.

Can run The sims 4, CS and dota at MAX SETTING EASILY.

CPU+ Mobo: ASROCK H81M-HDS + i3 4160 (230)
RAM: G.SKILL PC 12800/1600MHZ DDR3 CL11 VALUE RAM (8GB) (98)
GPU: ZOTAC GTX750 1GB (179)
DVD-RW: LG 24X DVD-RW SATA OEM (25)
PSU: XIGMATEK TAURO 400W 80+ PSU (65)
Case: CM K282 / K350 / K380 (55)
OS: WINDOWS 7 HOME PREM (125)
Networking: ASUS PCE-N15 (59)

Total cost: $836

Buy at PC Themes, #04-15, and ask for discounts. DIY yourself. If you can't into DIY, get PC Themes to assemble for you for a fee.

Notes:

1) Your SSD, HDD and monitor can be safely reused and this build assumes that you will be reusing these parts.

2) The Zotac GTX 750 is capable of playing your games at maximum settings.

3) A PCI-E X1 wireless card is added into the build because due to the superior bandwidth of the PCI-E X1 slot when compared to a USB slot, a PCI-E X1 wireless card is more likely to give you superior Internet performance than a USB dongle. However, the Asus PCE-N15 is capable of up to 300Mbps speeds only and do sound out if your internet plan is much faster than that so that a wireless card capable of much faster speeds can be recommended.

If I upgrde it to i3 or i5 will it be better in terms of performance?

1) Well, the G3258 can be overclocked to have a performance close to the Intel i3, but I am not sure if you would want to try your hand at overclocking. The Asrock H81-HDS does support overclocking if the G3258 is used.

2) Pink and Gold are some really rare colors on a case, I do not think that there are any cases of these colours in SLS.
