What's the smallest MATX case available? Something like the size of Fractal Design Nano S but for MATX. And preferably with front and rear case fan slots. I bought the FD Core 500 because it had so many good reviews, but then i realised it was designed primarily for AIO coolers which aren't value for money. Also, it has bad airflow since no front fans.

Wanted to build an itx since i dont use many slots, however, AMD doesnt have any ITX mobos. Also, even for intel, it seems like cheap and good itx mobos arent available online (prefer online for the coupon + CC rebate advantage). Eg. MSI H110i pro, not available online.

Also, if the specs sheet say that the case has USB 3.0 front headers, but the mobo has USB 3.1 jumpers, does that mean i get USB 3.0 slots on the case, or USB 3.1?

Thanks!

U will still only get USB 3.0

Thanks, it seems that all the Fractal design cases are USB 3 front panels though. Am looking at the Core 1100 as it seems small (almost same size as the ITX Nano S), has a front and rear fan, and it's cheap.

Well for now I dun think a lot of the case manufacturer have installed 3.1 into it. So it's still fine to use their usb 3.0 on the 3.1 header(it can backwards compatible)

Next u can consider tecware F3.

What's ur definition of small? U want tall and slim or fat and small depth? U need to be able to install a full length or half short gfx? Or u dun need a gfx and can live with the onboard gfx?

I'm have a couple of small rigs in the hse. I'm using an Intel NUC as my htpc. For gaming, I have a mini ITX setup housed in a CM elite 110a

Pro about CM elite 110 is that the depth is very small. So I can put the rig on the desk and still got space in front for mouse pad. Cons is the gfx got length limitations

mini ITX setup not too bad lar. My rig just cost a little over 1K nia (excluding gfx). Managed to squeeze in a kaby lake i7, H270 Mobo and 250GB SSD. If u choose i5 and 170 Mobo definitely can go under 1K

For me it's still the Corsair Air 240. Nice size, dual chamber design, wide display panel and can position the case itself horizontally or vertically.

LF something similar in size as the Fractal Nano S, or just a bit bigger. Tecware F3 looks good. Else, its the Fractal Core 1100. Even comes with dust filter which would be nice.

Cube or tower shape is ok, as long as can install front and back fan.

My GPUs are all Mini versions so they're all short. (ie. Zotac 1070 mini and Zotac 1060 mini)

I use a Node 804 but size wise its a cube. Its short with 2 sections. I can keep the HDDs, wire mess on one side while the main remains clean and can handle full sized graphics cards.. Has both front and rear fans

hi guys sorry to hijack, but am looking for recommendations for matx case as well. I am open to both cube and thin vertical ones, but i think something i would like is that the usb ports are at the front and not the top of the case. 2-3 usb 3.0 ports should be more than enough.

thank you!

Inwin 303? (mid tower)

Or wait for Inwin 301? (matx instead of 303 atx, I am waiting for this. Otherwise going for NZXT S340 Elite.)

Anything else would be Lian Li PC-O6S. But budget is sky-high for that.

Small form factor, super awesome window size looks really good. No doubt Toa gonna be Corsair Carbide Air 240.
One of my all time favourite cases.

Only thing that I would recommend is get some cable sleevings for the 24pin and the Gpu power connector.
Unsleeved cables quite unsightly given the amount of view the window allows
