If you want to maintain the same relative performance as your 270x, can get GeForce 1050ti or 1060 depending on budget. If you want more power, Nvidia GeForce 1070 is the most you should get for 1080p resolutions.

thanks all for advise, i bought a brand new radeon sapphire nitro+ rx 580 4gb at $200.

but i cant fit it in my PCI-E 3.0 slot as my ram is blocking it. so i used my PCI-e 2.0 slot, will it matter?

How? No way the pcie3.0 slot is interfered by ram pls

The clip securing the ram is preventing my gpu from seating properly cos this new gpu abit long and thick

Seems like for your MSI B85M-G43, the pcie 3.0 is quite high and close to RAM slots. So, you had tried mounting rams first then gpu? What about the other way round? Could also be that the gpu backplate is too thick.

Is this the board you are using ?
If the 2nd slot can supply full x16 pci 2.0 bandwidth, it is not going to be major issue problem @ 1080p resolution.

Remove GPU back plate should solve the issue

i wont be able to lock the rams at all if i force my gpu in my pcie 3.0
