And we also need more info/context?

For example, what are you using the rig for? To play games at 12k with max FPS? To surf the net and play some browser games? Or is this for your slideshow fetish where you can change slides at smooth 240fps?

What's your budget? Unlimited? As low as possible? Exactly $3449.00?

To play games like Black Myth: Wukong and Cyberpunk 2077.

My budget around 3.5k

They are charging you a mega premium on either the CPU or GPU because i don't how with those parts they are only offering a 5070 TI at $3449. The card cost below 1.5k..

Also, the CPU cooler literally cost $50 and for casing Lian Li 207 is better value for your money.

The SN850x SSD with WD proprietary controller is pretty well known for being durable and it is a good thing, but one premium part doesn't justify the whole rig being 3.5k.

I am also pretty much betting they are not giving good rams with good timings, rams do not matters a lot for 9800x3d CPU, my concern is more about the value worth which is the main concern you are having.

Overall, its a no go for me. At this price, the bare min should be 5080 with other parts unchanged, otherwise this shop is literally chopping your carrot head.

doesnt feel worth it, considering u can get a 78x3d + 5070ti build from invaderpc for under 2.4k, which is over 1k cheaper. even with the 2tb nvme upgrade, paying almost 50% more money for essentially just the cpu upgrade (that is at best only 10% faster) is not getting ur moneys worth. u should be able to net a 5080 build with ur budget, or if u feel that a 5070ti is sufficient for u then just save the money and get ur pc from invader.

Seems high

I would much rather go with this build:

invaderpc.com/product/specs59/

If you really want the 9800x3d:

invaderpc.com/product/specs21/

I'll take the former as the performance from 7800x3d to 9800x3d is NOT worth the premium of 200.

But yes, at this price point, go for the 5080:

invaderpc.com/product/specs77/
Thank for the recommendation. My house currently having wifi 7 do I need to upgrade the Mobo if I take the first build you recommend?

That's very extreme just for WiFi 7 upgrade mobo?
Usually people upgrade motherboard for more ports and better performance due to better power delivery.
TP link have WiFi 7 PCIE card available for sale.
You can check if Challenger have it cuz I just saw it.

Actually WiFi 6 is already pretty darn good, if you are really particular about internet connection especially for gaming, i suggest using an ethernet cable.

If you want wifi7, boards like b850 aorus elite offer wifi7 for around $300. The board mentioned in that build probably goes higher than that

Too expensive man no go. That price point 100% can get more.

I was quoted 3.6k by AS, also includes windows 11 license btw

Zotac 5080 Solid OC
9800X3D
Samsung 4TB 990 pro NVME
Gigabyte B650 gaming wifi
32 Gb patriot ram 6000MHZ
Should be same PSU as yours
Check the AS 5080 bundles.

Hmm, that's weird. I don't remember Gigabyte having a B650 Gaming WiFi and one quick search confirms that.

I think they mean the Gigabyte B650M Gaming Wi-Fi.. but they are cheaping out too much, that board is a massive red flag.

As you can see in the image, the VRMs on that board is struggling to handle a 100W powerdraw to the CPU, it causes the VRMs on that motherboard to reach 106c. This test is done on 21c ambient so with our hotter climate it would be far worse than what we see.

The 9800X3D has a 162W PPT (power draw) which is way above 100W. Why would anyone put a 9800X3D on a board that is struggling handle 100W? Even 65W TDP (Eco Mode) processors are already drawing 88W.

Besides, they did not reveal the CPU cooler, i fear they may use their OEM AIO that is known to cause noises and problems (after a bit of use) while performing worse than a $50 ThermalRight HSF.

I hate to say this in this wonderful morning, but these scummy practices from AS PC aren't new 😓.

On the other hand, the Invader PC offerings linked by @-Synchronicity- just seem to have more reasonable motherboard pairing and still main a reasonable price.

1) MSI B650M GAMING PLUS WIFI 6E (Could throttle a bit, but nowhere near as bad)
2) MSI MAG B650M MORTAR WIFI AM5 (Great decent board and will not throttle).

It also comes with ThermalRight 360 AIO CPU cooler which is pretty decent.

@GotBetrayed

Yeah, I already saw your response on other thread.

1) Download and Run hwinfo64 to monitor
2) Download and Run Cinebench for testing.

In CineBench, set the minimum test duration to 30 minutes and then start the multicore test.

After about 20 minutes, look at your current CPU PPT reading in HWInfo64 under the CPU section.

There's a high chance its throttled either by the VRM or your CPU temperature because i doubt they gave u any good CPU cooler to begin with.

Also that mobo, the heatsink VRM on the side is small, and the VRM on top is naked.. 3.6k rig wtf ☠️

I don’t see invader pc having any alternatives close to AS build which includes 4tb nvme ssd Samsung pro 990, 9800x3d and Zotac 5080. Windows 11 home included too

thanks btw later when I get home I try to download and see. So far gaming no issues

Yeah that's for sure because the motherboard and AIO cooler in that invader pc rig are of higher quality and they are putting in a MSI Gaming Trio 5080 which is surprising.

It might run fine now, but VRM going at full load and such high temps can cause rapid degradation which may result in instability over time, but who knows right? It’s more a long-term reliability issue since you are putting a high-power CPU like the 9800X3D on that board with VRMs that cannot even stay cool at 100w.

On other boards, the VRMs will allow you to get full performance out of your 9800X3D with the VRM @ way lower temps.

Is the X870 eagle board alternative board by AS better?

The X870 Eagle board is the worst X870 board, but its still superior (has decent VRMs, decent heatsinks on the VRMs) to the other board mentioned before.

Pairing it with a 9800X3D will not have issues, but if you are going for a 9950X, you can see it obviously falls short behind other X870 boards.

I see, yeah usually I change my pc once every 3-4 years, right after AS warranty ends. Later need to check using the benchmarking tools
