Need reinstall OS but CD-rom disable

Hi guys

I need to reinstall my lappy OS, but i just rmb on the last repair the tech had no idea how to reconnect back the CD-rom, he was at that time replacing the heatsink.

Sadly my warranty over, and the only way to get help from dell is to purchase another warranty extension before they help. but my lappy already 3 years 9 months old >_<.

What can i do to replace the current OS(School one).

Still have the OS CD,unopen.

Just get external cd drive lor.. About $50 lol.. If not can try install from USB if you know how to..
