Need some advice for choosing laptop :D

[Frost45]

Hello all, i heard that theres is an IT fair coming up at Suntec this weekend.

Since i wish to buy a mid to high end gaming laptop, but do not know which brands and models are good can anyone recommend me some?

Basic requirements are:

1. Price <3000 SGD
2. RAM at least 16GB
3. Screen size at least 15"
4. Storage space at least 2TB or so.

Or should i just custom build a laptop instead? Any good places or companies that i should approach?

Thanks

I think you should be going for a gaming laptop instead since screen size will be 17 inch

Yea i meant custom build a gaming laptop.

So do you have any pre built model/brands for me or any stores/companies to recommend for custom building a gaming laptop?

There are a few gaming laptop manufacturers like

Alienware
Aftershock
MSI
Razer
ASUS

Have you check their gaming laptops out? Some do provide customization

Thanks i think i will buy from origin or aftershock

And does the IT Show at Suntec give you better discount for laptops or custom laptops compared to buying directly from a shop or online?

Alright heres an update guys.

I got a Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming for 1600 SGD at the IT show.

Way cheaper than Aftershock and better or equal in terms of RAM and storage space. Graphics card is slightly better though.

But the Aftershock model customised costs 900 SGD more simply because the cheaper ones were out of stock.

Think i have gotten myself a good deal

Is this the spec they selling at $1,600?

Yes. At IT fair its cheaper i guess. Or maybe they could not sell it?

But to me they are way better than a lot of popular brands here in Singapore apparently such as Aftershock,Lenovo and Asus.
