I would recommend the aftershock xg13 which is on a good deal now during the IT show. For 2k you can add a 128 GB ssd which would improve your gaming experiences and start-up time if you install the os on the ssd. The graphics card is also better, a gtx 765m compared to the gt 730m. However it is 500g heavier than the zenbook though so if the weight is a deal breaker then go ahead with the zenbook :)

thanks for your input!:) yeah the aftershock xg13 looks like it has better performance but im more leaned towards the zenbook as it appeals to me more haha. the aftershock just looks kinda bulky.. :/
if i decide on the zenbook, it should be able to run dota 2 on high smoothly right?

Dont think it can run it on high. Try medium.

Google for Lenovo Y410P.

GT 750M 2GB DDR5, more than sufficient for DOTA2. Small form factor and sleek in 14", red backlit keyboard. Price listed at Challenger is $1399/1499 (can't remember) but I managed to get it at $1349 + laptop bag and thumbdrive.

Its not exactly a lightweight laptop @ 2.2kg. The zenbook is well below that to make them incomparable.

"super raid!" Lol. Marketing nowadays. Its just raid 0. A normal consumer won't find much of a difference between 1x 240gb ssd or 2x 120gb ssd in raid 0. It might decrease boot times by 1-2 seconds but its nothing major unlike the change from hdd to ssd.

yup... agreed with you on the 'Super RAID'. Wait until one of the SSD develop an bit error and see how fast the boot up is going to be... needless to say, all those hard earned saved games are all gone is a puff of smoke... unless the user has a regular backup scheduled...
