So I have approx 300-350 to spend on a gpu right now. Looking now, my options are either rx 580 new or a 1070 used? Which one should I get or do yall have any other recommendations? Cheers!

At that price point can probably consider getting a used 1070ti as well

Just search 1070ti in Carousell. There's a few 1070ti and 1070ti mini running for 350-360. From what I know 1070ti mini is comparable to the 1070ti if u do not intend to overclock

Can't think of any ways to tell. But one way is if the card is running on a custom mining bios. It most likely has been use for mining.
