Hi,

Long story short, want to get a new PC case. Upgrading from a corsair spec 03 case. Its gonna be my first build so I need it to be noob friendly. Plus as dust proof as possible. My plan is to put a 240mm AIO liquid cooler(already ordered) with Rad on top with atleast 2 fans in front for front intake. My current narrowed down choices are:

1) Phanteks Enthoo pro m Tempered glass(apparently the side vents now have dust filter and comes with 2 fans, but limited storage options, plus got optical drive bay)

2) Fractal Design Define C

3) Fractal Design Define S(no top filter concerns me)

Main use for the pc is just Gaming and entertainment. Nothing more.
What do you guys think? any help at all is appreciated. thanks in advance!!

Is this a vote?

I vote for No. 2, Define C!

I personally have a Define S build with 240 Rad on top. Yes, there's no filter for the top of the case so I had to buy magnetic dust filters for it.

Define C has top dust filter included! Its tiny as well, very nice form factor and best of all, has a Power Supply shroud that Define S do not have.

Thanks for the input guys! I appreciate it. Perhaps some details of the system i'm going to build would help.

i5 6600k with deepcool maelstrom 240t, 240mm AIO liquid cooler

240gb ssd(OS) + 2tb WD black hdd

16 gb ddr4 ram kingston hyperx fury

Asrock Z270 Killer Sli Mobo

Gtx780 zotac Amp! edition

thermaltake Smart SE730W Psu

For now I'm using one of those Compact tower Pc desks( do a quick google search for what i mean), so the means of fresh air is only from the front. And I might dabble in some Overclocking now since I can. With all this being said, what case do you guys suggest? and Radiator in the front or at the top?

Yeah, my PSU and Gpu are recycled from old custom pc and some other parts are second hand. Resulting in this configuration.

I'm also on a budget and don't want to overspend. Basically looking for a good ATX midtower case that's easy to build in. Thus, leading me to my 3 choices.

I did consider cases like define R5, but ill never use that many drives. Corsair 400c was also in my consideration. Tecware Titan was also considered, but I wanted like a more "high end" case. Haha.

I remember eliminating the phanteks P400 in my choices But I forgot why haha. Curious As to why no one has recommended the Phanteks pro m yet. I'm kinda leaning towards the Define C or S. Since i only have 1 ssd and 1 hdd.

Hi guys, thanks for all your input. After much consideration I decided to go with the define S. Its spacious and I figured it would be easier to build in a spacious case than a more compact one for first time builder.

The only criticisms I had for the define S was that maybe its too big and no top filter. But that didn't seem like that big of a deal and i could always buy magnetic filters for the top.

so yeah, I guess the Define S won. Wish me luck on my first build!

Fractal Design Define C - If it can help you to reduce the amount of dust, it is worthwhile to get it.

To clean the interior of a PC is not an easy task.
