Hi guys,

I just booked tix to JP from 7 Sep to 12 Sep. Its a rush vacation because gf got sent over in a last min work trip so I don't have much time to do research so had to seek yall for advise.

My flight is from Singapore to Haneda. I have not booked my hotel yet.

I will be there for 5 nights. I am wondering if I should just stay in tokyo and explore it or is there any places outside of tokyo that I may want to consider visiting? i have 0 idea.

Currently my only plan is probably visit mt fuji (feasible?) and probably station hopping around JR Yamanote line since i see most of the stuffs are around there.

and regarding transportation, probably using train. is it cheaper to buy single trip tix ? or do they have day pass ? (any disc for tourist)

or is there any particular thing/practice that tourist should take note of ?

I read that sep is still quite hot so is short/flip flops appropriate over there?

if it is ur first time to Tokyo, 5 days shld be just nice to cover the main attractions.
there are metro passes available, but these does not cover JR lines such as Yamanote line. my personal opinion is to get single trip ticket or store-value card, SUICA (like our ezlink), because the savings from metro pass isn't much and getting ard often require both JR and metro lines.

it is possible to visit mt Fuji. will be good to stay a night at lake kawaguchi or hakone if u are planning to do so.
