Hey, so previously i've been asked to buy a audio splitter for my desktop since im using earpiece to hear and talk with. i am able to hear sounds transmitted but i cant transmit my sounds to other ppl (Skype etc).

Curious on whether is there a problem with the ports, i used a headset and it worked fine. playback and recording were all good.

But there should not be any problem with the mic on my earpiece since i can communicate with my phone.

In the recording windows, the bracket that detects sounds does not even move.

So, any solutions out there?

Because the splitter probably only has three connections in the socket, left, right and ground. Your earpiece has four on the jack, mike, left, right and ground.

Can you check sound settings in Skype and control panel that the mic is set as the preferred(default) device?

Can you disable the rear panel mic and try again?(Right click on it, disable)
[To re-enable, right click on any and click 'show disabled devices'. Then right click on the disabled device and enable.]

If it still doesn't work, can you try the mic port from the rear panel?

Earpiece for mobile phone are different from headset designed for desktop's audio out ports.

One of my system at home also having problem with all sort of headset designed for desktop, the MIC won't work at all despite numerous attempts the fix it via driver, setting etc.... Most likely some physical failure on the motherboard MIC device (both front and rear port)

Tired of fixing it, finally a USD1.68 USB sound card from ebay (free shipping) fixed it once and for all:

Even better than onboard MIC, can individually on/off the speaker and MIC, can also adjust the volume on non adjustable earpiece/headset.
