Need some help with Device Manager on Display Adapter

Hi guys, wanted to seek some help. I recently try to reinstall windows due to some lag on PC.

I found that Microsoft automatically default the graphics to Microsoft Basic Display Adapter.

I am currently using a 6700XT Hell Hound, and it seems no way to install drivers for Radeon.

I have try a few ways like reclean/ reformat the system couple of times, and also display drivers removal, and making the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter to update the driver and manually pointing to the folder for Radeon.

However it seems to always still point back to Microsoft Basic Display Adapter.

Any one managed to get out of this? Thanks in advance.

Disconnect PC from internet than run AMD Display driver.
Sometimes it can be due to MS update affecting manual driver installation.

No leh, when i install windows already default as the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, and than i try to uninstall, update or manually point to the location of the files for Radeon it will say this is the best display driver.

When i off internet to install it will keep on stuck at this loading screen and searching

Doesn't work that way. Go to this link and download and install Radeon Software.

weird leh, like 1 month back i install like all ok leh. Only now got issue. I tried a few things here also.

1. Reformat, without internet try to install the graphics driver. Also error 184 with the latest and roll back device driver
2. Safe Mode DDU, remove all AMD, Intel, Nvdia programs and reinstall with the AMD Latest driver. Also error.

Maybe it was me, i also noticed that there was a lag on keyboard and mouse on recent windows installation. Besides the issue with graphics card.

Yes bro on widows 10, been on it for many years liao woh. Only recently i purchase new PC and install windows got all sorts of funny issues.

icic, can double check if you install 32bit or 64bit windows 10?

if it is windows 10 64bit should not be an issue.

also will you try to reseat your RAM? also please double check all cable is connected securely.

thanks bro, confirm windows 64 bit. I check the cables and ram leh all ok. funny that the installation for the graphics card keep telling me my OS not support this. Lolx!!! i been using this to install for many times...

Haha i try windows 8/ 7 to see if the issue still persists

by the way for the graphics card, i also try to roll back 1 level as in previous revision, also encounter same issue.

finally got it to work on a sample of Windows home edition. Previously using a enterprise edition. By the way, any of you guys encounter lag on keyboard and mouse? it seems to be happening quite frequently, and i suspect something else is wrong. Drivers wise, i have installed the OEM Logitech. However, i still encounter lag on and off.
I am using wireless keyboard and mouse by the way, and PC is just right beside.

That's very weired situation as really no clue, perhaps you wanna check if using wire keyboard also facing the same issue?

Maybe you can check for your motherboard support website for latest update related to the USB port, your system still same as your profile AMD 8350 + mobo M5A97?

For Windows 10 did you download through Microsoft or other website?
I hope we are not discussing about pirated WIndows that are obtain through torrent and etc.

- Are the drivers loaded like chipset?
- Mouse and keyboard receiver in a USB 2.0 port?
- Is it AMD or Intel PC?
- Can try clear BIOS settings and try again.
