Need some help with upgrading gpu

what are mean is that the 6+2 is still consider a 8pins. but some of the gpu can allows just 6 pins connector on their 8pins slots. but most of the time best just follow their requirement.

PS. i cant find that links i have that time i was asking around if 6pins can work on 8pin slots.

i think cannot ba? otherwise they provide the 2 x 6 pin to 8 pin adapter for what?
