That card will cool pretty decently as long as your case is well ventilated.

It's a clip that lock the pcie connector. Unscrew the gpu from the chassis first at the back near the io shield, then press the clip inward to the mobo while you pull gpu out.

For installation, push the gpu inward until you see the clip pushed put and lock the gpu. Then screw it back to the chassis at the back like the one you removed earlier.

High temperature normally is cause by case air ventation not good, fans configuration wrongly, gaming at stressful condition and not auto fan (use manual fan curve by Asus GPU tweaker or MSI afterburner).

Well basically depends in what u are doing.

i think it might be some other issue, after i replace, it could not detect the monitor, and keep on going to power saving mode

Try changing cables or check if the gpu have power plug in and lastly check if the gpu is it slot in all the way.

Does it work when u put back the old gpu? The 6pin/8pin power connector for ur new gpu, gpu fan spins? Change ur monitor output. Digital/analog?

The old and new gpu fan both spins, but unable to detect anything, i tried the old dvi to vga and 2 hdmi cables as well

Hope it's not your mobo issues, buts monitor. Den maybe u can try to disconnect your monitor and see if there is any no display words on your monitor?
