Hi there, would love some recommendation for a new PC build as I have been out of touch for ages. Machine will be use for photoshop mostly and maybe some light gaming. Appreciate any advice I can get, thanks. Below is what I have gathered.

-Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master + AMD Ryzen 3900X
-Noctua NH-D15
-Ram 2 x 8GB (this I have no idea what to get)
-Gigabyte Aorus PCIE 4.0 NVMe M.2 1TB
-MSI GTX 1660Ti Gaming X 6GB
-Seasonic 850w
-Fractal Design Define R6

Budget is around 2.5 ~ 3k

The Ryzen 3950X is expected to be launched this month. You might want to wait for that.

I think would be better to get 2TB nvme pcie3.0 than 1TB nvme pcie4.0
Unless you got another storage?

-Gigabyte Aorus PCIE 4.0 NVMe M.2 1TB
-MSI GTX 1660Ti Gaming X 6GB get 1660 super
-Seasonic 850w dont need so high, around 600watt gold plus is sufficient.

Was thinking of getting another 1TB NVMe PCIE 4.0 abit later. Yes I still have some mechanical drives off my old computer that I can use for now, thanks.

Super not worth it. The price is $180-$220 more but only give you 1-3% more performance for photoshop.

hahha tot i saw wrongly as well.

altho 1660super is pointless version but still worth it in terms of price/performance if compared to TI imo. the most 5% difference.

hopefully they dont come out pattern again with 1660ti super :s13:

Hard to say. Right now, as of the rtx and 16xx series, Nvidia has averaged about 1 new gpu per month.

Went sls yesterday to look for cpu, motherboard and ssd. The whole place is out of 3900x except bizgram, tough luck. Seems like somethings never change, it was hard to get hold of popular chips too in the past.
