Need upgrade advice pls

Im looking to upgrade my cpu and mobo from g4560 but im caught between ryzen 2600x or intel 8400.

I mainly only play games like overwatch, far cry 5 and pubg, as i have 16 ram with 2400mhz and i hear higher speed ram is better on ryzen cpu.

So do i actually buy new ram for ryzen given the high price right now or i should just go with intel?

price n budget? U can still use 2400mhz no problem. Change only when the RAM price go down.

I 2nd gld998. Wait until 2 weeks before upcoming june pcshow. RAM price magically will drop.


Then during IT show, RAM price spike, but HDD price go down.

Why upgrade when your processor handle those games well? Getting a 1060 and SSD should be be a more visible upgrade for you.

If i get a 7th gen, won't i need to upgrade the cpu soon again since 4 core is kind of out dated and i would like to upgrade my cpu and mobo and don't have to care about it for at least the next 2-3 years.

4core is still fine though, especially when paired with gtx1060

if im you, i'll get a last gen i5 (6th/7th gen core) and wait out for an 8core i7 from intel (hopefully soon )

If you want to overclock the msi z370-a pro at 194 is also a good deal.

Nope, im too scare to try OC, i got 16 of ram liao.
Choosing between getting a 7500 or 8400 with new mobo
