I jusy bought a new power supply.

Seasonic X Series 750 watts gold 80+.

I did all of the cables into where they were supposed to be and then plugged in the power supply. The computer manages to turn on but with no display and usually if the computer is fine, the led on the mobo would indicate A2, now it is indicating 55 whenever I turn it on. Please assist.

Specs.

You double confirm you put all cables at the correct place? nvr mix up the pci-e for gpu into the 4+4 cpu socket?

Check your manual to see for debugging codes.

Google said that 55 is installation error. try reseating ur rams n gpu.

You see the cable with 4+4 pins? it goes at the top of your mobo, top left.

The 6+2 pin cable goes into your graphic card.

You shld go watch newegg 3 part diy guide in youtube. Got all the basic info that you need.

Then check your 24-pin and 4+4 CPU Pin. I believe on your PSU, gt indication that that particular area is for CPU cable. Connect only to that area.

Hi,

updates.

I changed ram slot 2 to ram slot 3 on 1 piece of ram and the computer managed to turn on and load windows.

Something I don't understand is, ram was untouched the whole time while installing PSU, why would the ram slot 2 be affected?

Memory modules are very sensitive, and a slight knock while changing this and that is enough to cause boot issue.

It's like that sometimes. Once it works it will carry on working. Temperamental. It's a fluctuation on the quantum level. PC building can be an art sometimes.

Open your manual. Got certain way to install rams. Cannot just anyhow slot into 1 of the 4 slots.

IIRC, most mobo shld be slot 2 / 4 priority, then slot 1 / 3. 1 starts frm left.

And plz dun change rams while ur com is on.

I think if using 1 stick it doesn't matter which slot.

Have placed all my rams back into their original slots.

Computer is able to turn on and power up itself with display.

I thank everyone here for their help.

Just need one more favor, anyone has a friend or is staying in North of Singapore who is pretty good with wire management? I don't mind paying.

My set up is in a mess.

Loop ur cables frm the btm grommets and exit at the middle right. Gotta ownself learn and plan ur cabling.

And straighten out ur SATA cables (orange)... dun twist and curl them.

What does that mean D:

They were curled from the moment I received them haha, I didn't build my first PC, it was built for me. If they are curled, does it affect something?

From practical experiences, SATA cable in a spiral coil is the best setup. The coil give you less tension/stress on the SATA connector on both the motherboard and drives. On top of this, the spongy coil is less likely to dislodge when someone accidentally knock the casing.
