Hi all,

I would like to build a new rig from scratch.

Purpose:
All in one entertainment system
Mainly for programming, school work, gaming, videos, surfing.

Parameters that I rank :
1.Affordability
2.Stability of system
3.Room for upgrades in the future (after 2 years)
4.The look good factor (casing)

Would really appreciate any help from you guys.

Some of the specs/parts I already have in mind:

CPU: Intel i7 4790K
CPU Cooler : ???
MOBO: Asus Maximus VII Ranger
Graphics Card : Asus GTX770 2GB DC II OC DDR5
SSD: Samsung 840 PRO 256GB SATA3
HDD: WD Black 7200rpm 2TB
RAM: 8 GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 1600MHz CL9
PSU: ???
Chasis: ??? (CM Storm Enforcer w/Window USB 3.0) ???
OS: Win 7

Sorry for the lack of research here.
Please do advise if these specs are feasible.
Is there any parts that I should actually spend less and invest more in other parts? ie. GPU
I intend to do a little bit of OC with this rig.

SSD : Samsung 840 EVO 250GB SATA3
HDD : WD Black 7200rpm (5Yrs)
GPU : Asus GTX770 2GB DC II OC DDR5
Casing : Fractal Design R4 (Black/Titanium / White) or CM Silencio 652S Black ATX w/USB3.0
Cooling system : Corsair H100i Hydro Cooling Performance
Power Supply : CMaster V750S 750W 80+ Gold Modular (5Yrs)

DDR3 cannot mix with DDR4. Also, that mobo cfm cannot support DDR4, you would need to change mobo and/or cpu again...

You no need go until vengeance pro 1866mhz, super expensive. Normal vengeance 1600mhz will do, or even the low profile ver.

Since gt SSD le, no need WD black bah, blue will do. Or even purple is acceptable.

Asus 770 is quite ex. You can probably go for giga/msi 280x. Or you can try the ASUS 290 DCII at $519 (That is if still gt stock.).

Case is personnel, but i prefer the r4.

For psu, no need till 750w unless u wnana try SLI/xfire, in which you would need at least 850w, considering that you wanna OC your cpu as well. if not, 650w for single gpu is fine. CM new V series, seasonic G or X series, superflower leadex gold and corsair RM are all fine choices.

2.5k will confirm exceed all your current expectations.

If you really want.

MSI Z97S SLI Plus + i5 4690k ~ $489
GSkills Ripjaws 1600mhz 2x4gb kit ~ $110
WD Blue 1tb ~ $67
Crucial MX100 256gb ~ $155
MSI GTX780 3gb Twin Frozr ~ $715
Seasonic X850 850w 80+ Gold Fully Modular ~ $219
Corsair Obsidian 450D ~ $169
Samsung DVD Drive ~ $21
Corsair Hydro H100i ~ $147
Windows 7 home premium 64bit OEM ~ $110

Total ~ $2202. Buy at tradepac, DIY.

Keep the spare $300. Wait till the day you save up another $400. Get the next GTX780 and slot it in.

Upgrade your monitor to a Qnix QX2710 Evolution II. Go 2k gaming.
