the point is too sweeping of a statement to generalise all female are like that.

Generalise? You got no female friends and colleagues or you are not married? I am definitely not generalising, it's a valid statistics. It might not apply to 100% but if it apply to 50% of the population then it is still a valid statistics.

Are you suggesting you have documented statistics from somewhere that's unbiased, non-self selection, random sampling and huge enough of a sample size to make that conclusion?

If it's just based on personal observation of stuff, it could very well be the people one mix with and observed is very limited and non-diverse.

regardless male of female. should avoid stereotypical views and generalisation.

There is no such things as 100% in statistics, you go and find a stats that females have higher networth than males lor, I bet you can't find such stats so how to get a wife to double charge your networth? The chance of it happening is just super low.

I never say 100% statistics. i am asking you is there a well documented study that concluded what you have concluded to substantiate that what you said is not stereotypical view / generalisation?

If we can't find any well documented study that suggest either direction, then it is just a personal opinion.

There you go. Females have less than half the networth of males, period.

lets for the sake of argument that this study is not something dodgy.

ok. it paints the picture that male has higher networth.

Most wife only eat into your networth. 1 pax retire with 2m is definitely more than enough.
but it doesn't explain how "most wife only eat into your networth"

which was what i pointed out as stereotypical view

Come I clap for you, buying 4D, Toto make a big difference? Most people spend a few dollars on such activities, you think it make a big difference? You can't beat the ladies spending on LV, Gucci and facial, comestics etc. Go and ask around among colleagues and friends, I don't believe you can't find out easily.

Can ask me la.
My wife earns more and spends less than me.
Her most expensive purchase for the past 2-3 years, a rabeanco bag.

In our DINK circle, some wives are in finance, accounting, and business owners.
Not to say the husbands are useless. We earn good money too but our women are really...POWER.

Not necessary.

in general, most women would want to choose to marry a man earning more and/or higher education than them.

that’s why most unmarried men are less educated.

I have many friends who marry their uni classmates (i.e. husband and wife same university degree work in roughly the same line) also end up wife earned more. Shows that in the working world, sometimes luck involved, wife may had more opportunities for promotion etc - especially in banking/finance where there is really high variance in salaries.

From the financial perspective, the best kind of wife is one that earns more than she spends. Absolute income is not critical. If your wife earn $10k but still takes your money to spend, you will be worse off than a wife that earns $7k but is able to spend and save from her own income.

Income > expenses. Where I have I see that equation before? :s13:

And unless you are totally blinded by emotion, you should be able to get some idea before marriage whether your future wife/spouse is going to be a financially high maintenance spouse or not.

Another opinion that’s based on personal obs rather than some published stats?
