In the 1700s, America was a young nation, with brave men setting off to sea on ships for trade. However, the Ottoman Empire would capture American trading boats in the Mediterranean, beheading the captains and selling the rest of the American sailors as slaves.

Americans bought back their sailors because they leave no man behind. They soon realized they were funding the Ottoman Empire's slave trade, as they were buying back their people.

The Americans were confused; they were a young nation and hadn't done anything to offend the Ottoman Empire. The Americans sent diplomats to find out.

The representatives of the Ottoman Empire replied that they did it because they could. To add salt to the injury, they said that according to the Quran, Americans are infidels and therefore should be enslaved. When the Americans realized what they were dealing with, a problem that diplomats could not solve, "Never negotiate with terrorists" was born.

Americans were justified, filled with righteous anger, so they created the greatest navy of all time. To protect their trading boats. Never touch American trading boats.

The Houthis and Iran really don't know what they've done.

There's things out of our control. But there's something we need to talk about, so to be ready for it when it comes. I don't think SG government realize what is coming and their lack of courage to talk about it means our population won't be prepared for it.
