Help: New budget rig to replace a RIP 4-year comp

Hi all

Recently my 4-year comp just died on me. Power on and only the led lights got turned on but the comp just wont boot up.

Read a few threads here and shortlisted the components below. Mainly for watching videos and gaming (dota2, wow, overwatch). Need advice on the new rig setup. Budget $1,100. Thanks!

Casing: tecware F3 or Tecware edge

CPU: AMD Ryzen R5 1600

Mobo: Asus Prime B350M-A or Gigabyte AB350M Gaming-3 or Asrock ab350M pro 4

RAM: Kingston Value 2133MHz 8GB or Kingston HyperX 2400MHz 8GB

PSU: FSP Hyper K 80+ 500W

HDD: WD Blue 1TB

GPU: Zotac GTX 1050 2GB or Zotac GTX 1060 3gb mini

OS: Win10 (carousell)

Monitor: Dell SE2717H or HP 27ES

Would it be better to get a monitor with built in speakers or purchase it separately?

Monitor with built in speakers = not good enough for most people, even for casual gamers.

Any half decent budget speakers $60-100 range and onwards will sound significantly better than stock monitor speakers. That said, I don't think a lot of monitors have built in speakers. Only a small %.

Headphones :)
Get the faster ram and try to push for a good quality PSU. You'll see it's worth it when your whole system doesn't fry and all your parts die

69 dollars only

There are also similar Logitech systems that retail for similar prices... Edifier also... can test them out to see what kind of sound you like...

If got budget I suggest upgrade to a 1060 instead. (Not sure if prices now are inflated due to the ethreum mining craze though)

Nvr use SE2717H before, but as a monitor brand I prefer Dell over Hp
