Same, I completed 折腰 last week, and i'm about 75% through 韶华若锦... Also prefer 韶华若锦 so far
Surprisingly the pacing is much better in 韶华若锦, there is always a sub-plot happening every 2-3 episodes, to push the story forward

not sure is it the "original" story or the director of 韶华若锦 having problem, keep asking the male lead to play cool, woody and stony but in fact that guy can do much better.

Caught about 10 eps so far. The production quality is truly crappy. This may be the worst-looking period drama this year. The bgm sounds very outdated. The whole thing is badly shot and edited.

Plot revolves around "romance" (if it can even be called that), mainly. So far, all Bai Lu's character does is obsess over a guy, and try to win him over (despite him ignoring her most of the time). The twist is that she is supposedly just "acting" to draw the ML into some kind of trap, and we're supposed to wait and find out. This is not a good reason for 10+ eps of garbage.

Will not recommend.

Watched the first 20 mins.

Cannot tahan. Gave up.

Just someone deliver lychee can drag into drama.

Almost same cast as 12 hours and same author.

Confusing and tiring.

And thunder got quite bad rep in China,
