Bought my case (Corsair 400c) and
GPU (Zotac GTX 1070 Mini) already.

Btw if i do decide to go with a non wifi Mobo + a PCI wifi card, how do I choose a mobo that has space to put both the wifi card and my GPU?

Also, is there anything i should look out for if i want to add more storage to my com in the future? like which Mobo would be good? (SSD might be sata or m.2)

However, my current desktop seems to randomly have this weird sound where it sounds like something got jammed, like a fan stopped spinning and when it does, the computer just freezes for a split second.

It happens totally out of the blue so its quite hard to troubleshoot/ pinpoint what causes it to happen, any ideas?

Nope, you're not overclocking, Intel Stock cooler more than enough.

Assuming you running on a 60Hz 1080p monitor, just get Zotac GTX 1060 (6GB) version would be more than sufficient for the games you listed above. Zotac because have 5 year warranty.

Mobo can just get any H110 or B150 chipset one will do. Just make sure it uses DDR4 ram. You can install another separate Wi-Fi card on one of your PCI Express slot. Usually this will be cheaper than getting a motherboard with built in Wi-Fi, and also your choice of Motherboard will be very limited if you insist on on board Wi-Fi.

all i cant say is that for ur old rig if u knows is so hard to troubleshoot den dun bother selling it, cos u might end up pass the problem to the next person who is buying form u. (some more its BAD to sell to those who are a pc noob )

anyway are u sure your hdd or ssd is working since u dunno what causes it...might as well buy everything new, if not if issues pop out and u know its your ssd or hdd, but data didnt back up b4 it happen GG

Second the idea of getting separate wifi card. Plan your MB on the ports that you need more important I feel.

I read online that EVGA 1070s have a heating issue so i'm guessing I should avoid that.

What games do you play mostly?

Some Skyrim, mostly overwatch and dota 2 on weekdays, intending to get GTA V during the coming winter sale and other random adhoc games my friends convince me to get haha.

You want longer warranty, get zotac.

No need to get Corsair Vengeance, you are not going to OC your RAM. Unless you want the heatsink for the looks. Get any 2133Mhz value ram will do. Save the money.

Overwatch is not a demanding game. It can run 90fps+ with max settings on a 1080p monitor with a old GTX 780Ti.

To my knowledge, the RAM "kit" package is a marketing gimmick. It's just the brand guarantees and confirms that the 2 or more sticks or RAM packaged together have been tested to work together.

Basically it's an "idiot proof" way of buying multiple sticks of RAM.

all 1070 are equal, its just marketing. Pay for what your pocket can afford.

Pay more = more fans = lower temps (e.g. Asus strix edition, Zotac AMP extreme edition and MSI Gaming X edition)

However normal 1070 can also do the job, just higher temps but does not necessarily mean lower performance.

If you ask me, its better to get tri-fan versions as the lower temp does help (check online for benchmarks and gpu core temps) provided your pocket can pay for it. Cheap 1070s can easily get for $500 but higher end ones go $700 upwards.
