How old is old? Gen 1 or 2 Pcie slot? Most probably bottleneck.

Doesn't mean cannot use, but u just don't fully utilize the power of the gpu.

GPU should work but bottleneck will be on your CPU.
So gaming performance will still be chui.

GPU-wise, it is possible, since it has PCI-e 2.0 x16... But perf may not be good, since it is 2nd gen. Most newer boards coems with PCI-e 3.0 x16 slot. But, your CPU will bottleneck your GPU since its quite old.

CPU-wise, i doubt it will work.

CHeap is one thing... Dunnoe whether can fit inside that case or not...

Psu may have a problem as well, these branded comps use low and inefficient psu. If you gonna get 760, you need at least 550w.

Storage seems to be using SATA, can presume it to be 1st or 2nd gen.

For ram, new board uses DDR3. Yours uses DDR2, so must change.

So, overall, i think best is to get a brand new setup, and try to salvage as much from your old pc as possible.

Oh yah. For reference, old duo core/quad core shld be LGA 775. Sandy bridge n ivy bridge on LGA 1155 mobos. Haswell on LGA 1150 mobos. (Correct me if I got the LGA numbers slightly wrong. Lol).

So... If u can't put like a i5-3470 (ivy bridge) on a old duo core mobo or a Haswell mobo. Neither can u put a i5-4570 (haswell) on a i5-3470 board.

Not sure of AMDs.

Anything that wont bottleneck a 760 when gaming. I5 2500, 3470, 4470 anything as long as cheap solution and wont bottleneck

Only got 600-700 to spare. Dont mind 2nd hand but prefer with at least a few months warranty

Not sure what that HDD is using, but based on that com age, i would say its SATA 2 at least. But if TS wan reuse, should be possible.. then can get i5-3470.
