Hi guys, may i know using two asus routers for asus aimesh is better or using 1 router with multiple lyra ?
Depends what models you are using for aimesh.
FYI, Lyra also supports aimesh after FW update.

got a question.
using starhub 500mbps.
condo is 1200 sqft.
fiber termination point will be at the living room.
thinking of getting mesh.

is it usually good enough for a basic set up?

Floor plan? Do you have LAN ports in the rooms? Mesh solution in mind? Budget?

you can use imgbb to upload and share.

if you are think of using mesh with wireless backhual, buy a few tri-band mesh routers, for your unit, 2-3 mesh routers should be sufficient.

however, placement of the nodes are important. e.g if your living room, bed room 1 and bedroom 2 are on a straight line, if you have problem with bedroom 2, and have good link in bedroom 1, you should not place the mesh node in bedroom 2 (the most common mistake by most people), you should place the node in bedroom1 to extend coverage to bedroom2.

You can use Imgur.
Mesh can use Ethernet backhaul and higher performance, or with Wireless backhaul and have lower performance.

In your case, triband mesh solution is recommended without LAN ports in the rooms. Cheapest is probably TP-Link Deco M9+ dual pack for AC triband mesh, and Deco X68 for AX triband mesh. But of course you can get higher end product like TP-Link Deco X90, Asus Zenwifi XT8 or Netgear Orbi RBK852 dual pack, which should have pretty good performance if placed properly. Mid end triband product like Linksys Velop MX4200 dual pack should most likely be fine as well for you.

Cheaper dual band solution may be okay as well with lower performance with proper placement. 3-pack may be needed in that case, eg, TP-Link Deco X20 and Netgear Orbi RBK353.

NETGEAR RBK353 Orbi Dual-Band WiFi 6 Mesh System – Wifi 6 Router With 2 Satellite Extenders 11AX Mesh AX1800 WiFi (Up to 1.8Gbps) https://s.lazada.sg/s.ZoNFO

Something like this?

Yes this is RBK353. It may be good enough without going to Triband if your requirement is lower and you can find good spots to place the routers. The following is a good example from Netgear SG/MY

RBK353 will be challenged if with the following placement (so Netgear SG/MY is using RBK753 triband for the demo)

I saw on the other tread that StarHub is offering it. Not sure if it’s open to the 500mbps

People buy from hachitech nowadays?
Cheaper than Lazada? Or sim lim?

No idea, I am not good at bargain hunting myself.

I selom use Lazada/Shopee/Qoo10 since I use Challenger physical store or Taobao more often. I have not gone to Sim Lim for a while. I think Challenger prices for TP-Link product and D-Link product is okay. Occasionally it also got good offers for Linksys and Asus.

For Asus then often Courts has the best price for some product (eg: RT-AX86U recently), not Lazada/Shopee/Qoo10.
