There’s a big release date coming up in Japan on July 3.
It’s the day Japan’s new yen bills go into circulation with new 1,000, 5,000, and 10,000-yen bills

“Current-design bills can still be used even after the new bills have been issued, so there is no need to exchange your current bills for the new versions. Please be cautious of false claims that ‘Your current bills will become unusable’ and related fraud attempts.”

My neighbour has nearly sgd 4K worth of yen. But she won’t be going Japan in the near future so she is thinking of changing back to sgd. Told her she will make a loss but she said it’s ok as she afraid that her current yen currency may be obsolete after a few yrs with the new yen notes. Then a bigger loss. Would her fear come true?

Bill change because too many foreigners folding their bills :ROFLMAO:. I realise Japanese like to keep their bills very flat.
