Just open a moomoo account today to buy SGX: DBS D05 stock. A deposit is required and I do not know what amount is required. Please advise.

How many shares you want to buy?

(price x shares) + some buffer for fees

$77 x 100 + about $8.50 fees
the fees are linear .... if you buy 1000 quantity it's about $85 fees ... it discourage frequently jumping in and out because 0.1% loss per trip ............ US market is not linear it's less than $2 even if bigger amount

can set as odd lot to buy 30 60 70 quantity if don't have enough for 100 minimum quantity x$77 for $7700
but the price is slightly higher

You can get quotes from https://www.sgx.com/stock-exchange/securities-prices?code=all or even the MooMoo app…

I always try to be helpful to newbie… but honestly, if you need to ask where to check share price etc, then I am afraid you haven’t read up enough to start investing… please try to do so, maybe read the latest book Lunch Break Investor by local author Thomas Chua?

official minimum shares is 100 share which is 1 lot… anything less is called odd lots like what Krabs guru shared…

how long to hold depends on your investment objectives and financial goals… some hodl lol

Actually ppl newbie maybe buying mutual funds easier. One price per day. E.g MariBank all those are funds easy to use. Of cuz their Amova Spore Dividend Equity is many stocks but it does have D05 inside
