Basically, got some new parts - MB, Proc, GPU, CPU Cooler, Case
Re-used SSD, HDD, RAM

PC Specs are:
- MSI Z87 G45 Gaming + 4670K
- H100i
- Gskill 2x4gb 1600
- evga 780 sc
- samsung 830 256/f4 1tb

Windows can POST, but when loading Windows, after that it will come out with a BSOD error code 124.

Have tried the following:
- Use a newly purchased Single 8GB RAM (Same error)
- Remove SSD & HDD, boot from Windows 7 DVD (Same error)

Weird thing is:
When I place 1 RAM, the error occurs.
However, when I place my 2 gskill rams, the system doesn't even POST at all, just a blank screen..
The integrated graphics (have tried both DVI & VGA) also doesn't seem have any output to my monitor.

One thing to note: Bought my motherboard from TradePac.
When they gave me the box, it was not shrink-wrapped. The other parts came with shrink-wraps.
Could it be a faulty mb? If so, what should I do? Go back to TP or go to Corbell?

Jin sad... :(

Motherboard boxes are usually not shrink-wrapped.

When upgraded desktop can post, is the SSD already has OS from before upgrade?

SSD has OS already.
Have tried on another no-OS SSD, installed windows via safe mode but also produce same error

STOP:0x00000124 usually indicate processor not getting sufficient voltage.

Run the system in stock speed if you overclocked the processor. If problem persist, check the various power output in the hardware monitor of the BIOS, fluctuation must not be more than 5% of the nominal voltage. Increase the voltage to the processor one notch to stabilize the system, remount the processor heatsink to rule out improper mounting error causing system overheating.

Downlaod any linux live cd and perform a memtest for half an our to check for any memory issues.

Also go to the bios and set to "Optimal Defaults" selection

Last disable all overclocking options.

Clear CMOS first. This is to ensure everything on default.

Check the 4/8pin cpu power connector is connected to the board.

Resit the CPU at the same time check for bent pins.

If there is the same issue. Check on memtest86.

If really cannot. RMA cpu.

ok i disassembled everything.

assembled MB / CPU / Cooler / 1 RAM / 1 SSD

same error.

memtest no prob. have also tried other rams.

I guess I should bring the mb to the distro for a check>

For the processor, where to claim warranty?

Or should I bring both to TradePac since bought from there

Went back to tradepac. Indeed is the processor spoilt. Got an exchange.

Weird though, I didn't even OC yet. :/

Thanks all!
