Good Day knowledgeable friends, I have always been building my PC from SLS PC themes (somehow tradepac doesn't want to give me a better price). However, I've read that online can be cheaper. What do you guys recommend? I don't need after sales support and can build the PC on my own.

Also, how much have GPU price fallen? I heard nvidia have an oversupply of 3000 series GPUs and are slashing prices to make way for 4000 series. Is this true in SG GPU scene?

I would just DIY at least you know exactly what you’re getting since you know how to do it, and if you have time.
Prices have come down a bit for GPUs and will continue to drop as with all things in this space. The question is when do you need the new PC. If you can wait then wait for 4000 series to launch, if not better prices at least you will have better choice

Isn't it quite straightforward. Your objective is to get cheapest price. So just compare and buy from the cheapest source.

If you want a good pc, you need full flexibility in choosing your own parts.

to be honest,

i hate to go each of the shop and look for the part i want and end up out of stock and make do with other parts.

so nowadays i prefer just online shop, wait for the parts to arrive and make sure i get all wad i want.

I heard early 2023 would be the launch. By the time there is availability, would probably be april/may 2023. Not sure if i can wait that long.

Do you know how much the 3000 series have fallen in price? Is it nearing MSRP or is there still the shortage/crypto mining/scalping tax?

was hoping that the brothers here would give me a definitive answer and save me a trip to SLS. From your response, it seems like there is no clear cut cheapest place to buy.

Just bought mine.. now just online compare pricelist (Fuwell, PCT, Bizgram) and online (Lazada, Shopee) then decide where you want to buy from lor. I got most from PCT in the end as their price was one of the more competitive plus always great service from Yilong, other things like CPU cooler and GPU I got from elsewhere

If one definite place sells the cheapest all the time, wouldn't other stores run out of business?

You can check amazon.sg, lazada, shopee.

Nowadays i go SLS is walk in buy and walk out. Everyone say good service from PCT Yilong, i don't even bother what service he can provide. As long as the item i want is within my budget, i just go in, take, pay and walk out. Same as Laser, Fuwell, DC and others.

Else i just shopee/Amazon which can save more.
