Especially if your old PC is still OK. E.g. I'm prepping for a new ITX build in the next few weeks/months to replace my 6 year old i7-6700k/980Ti PC. But still haven't figured out what to do with the old PC which still runs pretty well

Yah, was looking on Carousell - a lot with no takers. Will list and see I suppose. Maybe take it apart and sell it part by part

Donate away.
If I don't manage to sell, maybe. Will be without SSD (reusing to new system) and Windows (mine is retail version, so will port to the new system)

Display out.

Nah, will have to dispose somehow, that's also why I'm going ITX, reduce clutter :s13:

I suppose after my new build is up and running, then it's time to disassemble the current and post the parts separately on Carousell. Whatever I can get back would be good, as I think after 6+ years I've fully amortized the PC :)

Nowadays my mum prefers her iPad for that, smaller, lighter and simpler to use :)

I'll likely try to sell the whole unit for 1-2 months which would save me a lot of trouble, if that doesn't work then part by part. may get more $ back but a lot more effort. Though since I'm removing my SSDs the whole unit idea may not be so attractive as the new owner would need to buy storage and OS

Maybe. Will remove my 980Ti and try to sell that separately and let them use integrated graphics if I do that.. maybe can cover the cost of my PSU from selling the 980Ti lol

TBH selling a Geforce 980 Ti will be difficult and it's not possible to sell at $300.
Since people can buy a used GTX 1060/1070 for that price.
So maybe around $200 - $250 depending on condition.

The old Intel i7 6700k with motherboard etc. ranges around $200 - $300 onwards.

I regretted selling my old PC's parts during my upgrading, should have re-purposed the old PC for pfSense or TrueNAS and learn something new along the way.
