Hey bros, planning on getting a new rig. My budget will be around 1.6k to 1.8K.

This is what I've come up with so far. Prices based on PCthemes

CPU + MB combo: Asrock H97 Pro4MVP + I5 4690 - $476
PSU - seasonic G series 650w Modular - $145
Ram: Kingston valuram 16gb- $194
GPU: Palit/MSI/leadtek GTX 970 $499
Casing: Fractal Define R5 - $159
OS: Windows 7 home premium 64 bit OEM - $130
Total: $1603

Will be reusing my Samsung 850 evo and 2 HDD for storage.
Optical drive will also be reused though I may not even go with an optical drive for this build.

Looks decent. Would prolly go for MSI armour for GPU (and even purchase from lazada for more savings) Maybe can shave off some ram.

Question: if reuse ssd/HDD why need purchase windows again?

OS is tied to mobo,nt ssd/hdd. Unless TS can get microsoft to deactivate it.

Well balanced build +1 Can go buy already. Wait for Lazada deals if you are getting 970 MSI

Yah, mine OEM version so tied to my current pc :s13:
Also planning to give my current PC to my brother with my old Crucial M4 SSD being the boot drive.

Hoping for lazada 100 dollar off so I can purchase some components for a discount. Missed out since didn't have enough $$$ at the time.

Any bros have used the phanteks pro? Considering that as an alternative to the fractal R5.

Phanteks enthoo pro is huge bro - a full tower case. But solid also.

Fractal design is milder in size.
