New PC build

Hey Guys! Helping my friend to build his computer. I am in inexperience in choosing value for money components. Wish the bros out there could help me out here. His budget is around $1500 to $1800 for the PC itself only. His purpose is to play games only. All suggestions is welcomed!

He is using a 1080p monitor. A bit of graphic intensive games like battlefield 1 and some normal games like Dota, Maplestory and battlefront. Was thinking a GTX 1060 6GB for him. Haha. Don't knkw enough Budget ornot.

He means TS build at right is quite up there, it shows that he knows how to build a PC at least. But maybe not so good in choosing parts.

Then get him in here to specify what games he places a higher priority on and whether aesthetics, space is a concern for him. Instead of u just relaying information from him to here which seriously takes up too much time.

More than enough. I would assume it's a 60hz monitor. If he's into bf1, he really needs a powerful processor as the game is cpu intensive. Cannot settle for anything less than a i5. Can consider the new ryzen 5 too.
