Hi everyone,

I am a newbie and I would like to ask you for a new PC recommendation. Hope that you can advise.

I got a quote from PC Themes:
MOBO: ASUS B150 Pro Gaming Aura - i5-6400
Ram: Kingston DDR4 2133MHz 8GB CL15
SSD: Samsung EVO 850 500GB (My own)
HDD: Toshiba 1TB 7200rpm
DVD: Samsung 24X DVDRW
GPU: MSI Gaming OC GTX1070
PSU: Seasonic M12II Modular 620W
Casing: Fractal Design Define R5 Black
KB & Mouse: Logitech MK120
Monitor: Dell SE2417HG
Windows: MS Win 10 Home

Total cost excluding SSD = $1,998

Could you guys please advise me and recommend a build that you think is suitable? I'm looking to play games like witcher, tomb raider, shadows of mordor. Also I use it to watch shows. No OC.

I have included some additional information below

Any preference for colour scheme? Red and Black
Budget? $2000

Speaker- Need speaker

Placing PC on table or floor? Floor
Any physical dimension constraint at your PC holding area? None

Will your monitor screen position be facing any bright light source like window? No

Which internet provider plan and router are you using? Starhub 1Gbps, Asus AC68U
Is your home in a relatively new apartment built in the past 8 years? New BTO
How far is your upcoming PC located from the router? Quite Far but connected directly via Lan cable
Any obstruction between your PC and router? nil

tried looking at msi B150 gaming boards?
they are same color scheme... and once you get your MSI gtx 1070
will be same distro if you need to (touch wood)

and it is slightly cheaper than asus, 20-30 dollar difference

Thanks dreadknight, any issues with the build that YL recommended?

I read a thread that mentioned Seasonic seems to be having some issues nowadays.

is NT monitor or IPS monitor more suitable?

well we aint sure those user have been using for how long for seasonic, if more than 3 years is ok to have issues, but just recently bought den that is warning sign not to get seasonic. :o

As for monitor still need to see how u want, if pure gaming TN monitor is better, but color quality drops. As for IPS is more for those want quality and more viewing angle.

nothing much, since this build is quite a looker, just that the GPU not really fits your theme though =:p since FE is sliver and black.

well if u dun need dvd u can even ditch it away.

as for casing still best if u can get those side windows since u are using asus mobo which have LED so u can see those LED clearly.

FYI, the GPU is a custom GTX 1070 not the FE
