New PC Recommendation

I plan to upgrade my current 5 years old PC. I think my current PC cannot survive till the release of Ryzen 3rd Gen.

My usage is mainly normal surfing, light-medium online gaming (no specific game now) and light video editing. I am looking for a quiet and compact mATX build since mITX is out of my budget. I do not intend to overclock.

My specifications after some research:

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2600
Motherboard: MSI B450M Mortar Titanium - $416 (CPU + Motherboard Bundle)
Graphic Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Ventus XS OC - $348
Memory: G.Skill Trident Z 3200 8GB x 2 - $168
or Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200 CL16 8GB x 2
Display: Reuse existing Dell U2417H
Storage:
- SSD: Adata XPG SX8200 PRO 256GB - $98
- HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm 2TB - $85
Optical Drive: External DVD Writer - $59
PSU: Seasonic Focus SGX-650 - $199
Casing: Fractal Design Define Mini C - $149
Case Fan: 1 x Noctua NF-A12X25
OS: No need
Keyboard & Mouse: No need

Total: $1,531 (The price above is based on SLS shops)

Budget: $1.5k +/-

To maximize budget

CPU can buy from oversea
MB can decide after you decide which CPU to buy. MB must get local because it might spoil
RAM can buy from oversea, is way cheaper also. As for what RAM depends on your CPU
GPU must buy local. GPU market now, well, oversea price seems to be going down. You might be able to locally get Vega 56 at almost the same price as 1660 TI.
SSD can buy oversea, nowadays a lot of sales for cheap 1tb SSD but sold out quickly.

Memory is cheaper, but not by a lot, when compare to fuwell pricing. Some oversea pricing don't even make much sense to choose them over local stocks.

I rather buy local for memory. Anything wrong, just walk in.

Mobo and cpu wise, look oversea.

CPU for both intel/AMD, yes. For intel, they will arrange to collect from your hse. For AMD, send it to a local address which acts as collection point. Both brands will send back to you at their cost after receiving and RMA approved.
Mobo, no. Need send back to USA or their mentioned country when sending in RMA request.

For example, GSkill Sniper X 3200 Mhz CL 16 2x8gb listed as 179 in Fuwell. In newegg, is listed as 129.

RAM price is consistently decreasing over the entire Q2, I doubt local will revise their price as quick as international estore.

If you looking at Ryzen 5 3000 series but need to have a new PC for now. Maybe try to get a 2nd hand Ryzen 3 1000 series as a placeholder then upgrade to Zen 2 later on.

I checked that Ryzen 3 1200 is around $100 +/-.

problem with buying parts from overseas is the RMA portion lo. always got the fear of things failing. but you save money la, which some people (me included) would take the risk.
