Hi all,
now using Q9400, think GPU going to spoil.
Thinking of buying PC with the following spec:
would prefer mb from msi bcos of proximity to the distributor
msi mb + i5-4570
gskill 2x8 gb 1600 Cl9 ram 122
LG DVD 24
seasonic G550 120
msi 7850 259
casing arc midi R2/mini R2/cosair 350D

don't need win/HDD, budget ~1200
dunno to buy matx or atx
don't need PCI slot
any other non-silent casing with filter but smaller than midi R2??

or should I just buy a GPU, think only 7750 can be used for the PSU?:D

But Corsair 540 can be quite bulky.

Full Red MSI GAMING series build... :D

All from Corbell except SSD... :o

CPU+MB: Intel Core i5-4440 + MSI B85-G43 GAMING @ $372
Killer LAN chipset for niche gaming experience.
RAM: G.Skill RipJaws-X DDR3-1866 CL9 8GB Dual Channel Kit [Red] @ $125
GPU: MSI R9-270X 2GB GAMING BattleField 4 Edition @ $349
Gives you full red theme but definitely not value for money.
SSD: Plextor M5S 128GB @ $127
ODD: Samsung 24X CD/DVD Writer [OEM] @ $21
PSU: Seasonic G-450 [80 Plus Gold] @ $105
7 years warranty.
CASE: Sharkoon T28 [Red] @ $84

Total: $1183

Recommended:
GPU: MSI GTX 660 Ti 2GB Power Edition @ $365
Offers much better value but disrupts the overall theme.

Buy others from Tradepac, #05-19.

Some updates on old gen cards

Powercolor 7870 myst is no longer in stocks. It is now deemed as an EOL model.

Whatever 7000 series card is left it is left on shelf. No longer coming in and slowly replacing by r7 200 r9 200 series.

The prices of certain cards are taking a dip for the 7000 series.

Base on TP

Lower end model still have.

Powercolor 7850 2gb no stocks
Powercolor 7850 2gb PCS+ EOL
Powercolor 7870 2gb myst EOL
Powercolor 7870 2gb Ghz edition ~ $241
Powercolor r9 270x no stocks
Powercolor r9 280x 1 stock left ~ $419
Powercolor r9 290 no stocks

Sapphire is currently the most not value for money. 2years and yet so expensive.

Stock checked for r9 280x all stores.

R9 280x Asus plenty stocks ~ $529
R9 280x Gigabyte no stocks
R9 280x MSI no stocks (last one sapu by me)
R9 280x Sapphire $445 limited stocks.
