Hi all,

I am helping my friend with his first DIY pc. kindly recommend the hardware that suit his budget of $1500, for CPU + a monitor.

Uses: into virtual OS plus some light gaming. not sure whether playing OS within OS within OS will need a big ram.

need more recommendations.

Planning to buy everything from PCThemes. Thanks!

When you want to run virtual machines are you going to leave them on for 24/7 or "play" as in just install to try out stuff?

Always nice to have, esp when running simultaneous VMs. You do not want to run out and have excess paging when the ssd is being heavily utilised by the VM.
