Never auto-shutdown or throttle not bad already
But just need to monitor the temperature regularly...
Waiting for the temperature review if playing the game at 900p

Hahaha true that.

But don't think they will need to game at 900p, because the GTX870M can handle 1080p very well.

My temps I gotten so far are all under 1440p gaming tho

The problem it isn't about running smooth at 1080p, it's about downscale from native resolution lol
I'm not sure if downscale from 1800p to 1080p will look bad as 1080p downscale to 768p...

My friend gotten the Razer Blade 2014 and he's been regretting it ever since after the first month of actual usage for Work/School, he's studying part time and working full time.

Everything he complained/regretted is the vice versa from MSI GS60 Ghost Pro, I meant the Haves and Don't Haves for each of them.

The only thing he's happy with his Razer Blade is that it's really chio/aesthetic, everything else is a hassle. Note he's using it as his main PC as well. Don't think I need to go in details of why he preferred my MSI GS60 Ghost Pro.

Nah not really.. Im using the blade myself and the boot up time is 5 seconds and for games not much difference.. Get an USB 3.0 HDD and problems will be solve nothing much will be diffferent.. Just install the games you play the most into your ssd and the rest into your HDD

just got myself a 750GB WD 7200RPM HDD . Hopefully will not have much of a difference when playing games.

Ya, i'll be installing crucial games i play on SSd but i think not enough lol.. nowadays... one single bloody game can up to 20-50GB :S crazy..

if budget allows.. Wonder if portable SSD will perform same like Razer's internal SSD or slightly slower ?:s11:

but you will still feel the difference when opening games in the hdd as compared to sdd... there will be a delay esp when ur used to opening files on board ur razer's ssd

It doesn't affect games loading time, only for normal windows folders. The difference for loading time will only be 1 to at most 3 seconds difference depending what you are doing with the HDD during launching, personally tested.

My friend replaced his 1TB HDD to 500gb SSD into his GS60 Ghost Pro, compared not much difference, and for normal windows we got 2 M.2 slots so nothing to worry about if your main drive is SSD.

2014 New Blade playing BF4

I played bf4 2 time. Each time less than 30 mins.

Blade auto shutdown.

I even use a cooler master cooling pad.

Is this even normal?

Who experienced this as well?

HEY DUDE i recently just bought a Razer Blade 14 256GB gtx870m version, and i am having the same issues as yours too.

Battlefield 4 medium setting at 2560X1440 resolution(get above 100fps), using cooler master cooling pad as well, and every game play only can last between 20-30 minutes before the blade auto shutdown.

i play titanfall for few hours the temperature goes above 85 degree but still able to operate without auto shutdown. i contacted razer support they give me a new unit unfortunately the same problem still occur.

Does anyone having the same problem too or any solution for this? very worry because i just spend 2k for this only 20minute-lasting gaming laptop. i really hope could solve this problem.

Another problem i have is the yellowish screen just like the macbook's yellowish screen problem. not sure why the color calibration is so weird even after i calibrated.
