New Rig Advice

Hi guys

Looking to get a new rig for gaming, reusing a HD6970 til the HD9000 series is released. Budget is 1.5k excluding peripherals. Suggestions for peripherals would be highly appreciated, not sure how much I should spend on them. OS not needed

I would like to OC but its not a priority..
