TS! You can try out my rig setup with some minor adjustments. It will not hurt your wallet so much. From there, you can gauge what type of performance you wants and upgrade from there. My rig cost about $1000 back then as I re-used my PSU and HDD.

1k is low to some, 2k is low to some... cant help you much when you dun have an exact figure with +/- to play with.... A 2k rig will give better experience than a 1k rig...
