New Rig help

Hi all, need some advice.

My 7 years old rig uplorry finally. Cannot power up, PSU tested OK, screw driver test the power switch pin no power on mb. Should be motherboard issue.

Sharkoon casing
Asrock b75m dgs
Intel I5-3470
4GB ram Kingston
Lexar 512GB SSD old one
Fsp hexa 500w
Wins 7 OS

Below is new build I came up with, can still bring cost down or should be just fine.
Asrock b365m pro4 2 RAM slots.
I5-9400F
2666 ram 8GB Kingston
Zotec 1660 super 6GB twin fan
512GB SSD lexar buy another new one.
Tecware M3 temper case
Psu FSP 600w
OS Wins 10?
Less than $1000

I only play path of exile, battlefield 3, CS go, paladins, YouTube etc.

Another thing is all my games/apps are in my old lexar SSD with Windows 7, can I reuse my old SSD as many software is need in this old ssd when I install windows 10 in my new SSD.

Suggest you just stick the old SSD in and see if it works. My SSD from a Haswell build worked fine when I transplanted it to my present Ryzen build.

I would suggest ryzen rig for the extra cores may benefit you in the long run, seeing you use your old rig for more than 5 years. However, being said that, the local ryzen price is going up therefore it is cheaper to get your cpu off amazon while buying mb locally. The shipping on other hand will vary due to the virus.

With that, ryzen benefit from high speed ram and local ram is expensive as well. You could get your's from newegg, 2*8gb 3600mhz cl16 ram was last seen going at $144. You would need 16gb because nowadays game is using up to 12gb.

If cost is a factor to you, you can consider getting a used 1070 w/ 1yr+ warranty instead, it should be at $200 while performing similar to 1660 super.

I recommend changing your PSU to corsair rm 650 for that 10 years warranty, it is not a must but 10 years warranty at 130ish is a good temptation.
