New rig, no POST

wondering what else I missed out. Assembled everything together last night, connected everything and hit the on button. Lights on, fans spinning but didn’t POST, no display.
Tried reseating the GPU, RAM and cleared CMOS. Anything else I missed besides reseating the CPU (unlikely to be wrong there as I checked twice when installing)

since u got the 12700 non f, u can try running off the integrated graphics first. can take the mobo + cpu, psu from the case and 1 stick of ram (no need ssd), throw together on mobo box and test from there.

I remember I tried plugging it into the back I/O port DP to try last night but also no display, but the GPU was also there. That's the issue with ITX builds, it's a bitch to troubleshoot, to remove RAM, I need to take out the CPU cooler as it covers almost the entire motherboard...zzz

SSD is already in the mobo with the heatsink screwed back on so will just leave it on and see

If everything don’t have , prepare to send back for RMA, I claimed mine few months back in April.

I finally found some time after lunch and took off the heatsink to reseat the RAMs again. I realized in doing so last night that one of the modules wern't seated fully in (such a noob mistake!). The RAM modules were quite tough to put in, mainly cos there is zero clearance on either end of the slot and I had to use a bit of force to get one of the edges in.

Finally seated it, put it all back on and I'm installing Windows now! THanks all for the help!

Yes, I also saw on the board that the yellow light was on indicating RAM, which is why I took off the HSF again and scrutinized the RAM modules and saw one side slightly jutting out

All good now. No issue, put it into XMP and the rig is running well and quietly. My old desktop used to be a little noisy but having the ITX case on the desk beside me, I can barely hear it running. The cooling on the nr200 is great (I'll bet it's a dust magnet in a few weeks!) and the fan stop on the 3070 is excellent, not running unless I start gaming

haha not yet had the time to do that. Just had the new rig up and running. Now cleaning out the 2 old systems (1 also changed my wife's desktop to a SFF Lenovo this week) then post for sale after. I'll update that on the other thread when I've done it, maybe tomorrow

@kimsix Just managed to do a couple of A/B tests between USB and Aux in. Used my Canare 1/8-inch jack cable for the test, all audio effects/equalizers disabled. Source was FLAC via foobar2000

Verdict... no discernible difference, both sounded as good, with the advantage of 1 cable less for the USB option lol.. maybe on better speakers there could be a more audibly-significant difference

1 advantage is you can disable onboard audio in bios. less one area to be loaded up.
