New Rig Recommendation

Hi Everyone,

I need some help here. I am planning to get a new RIG. The purpose would be to do some video works and NO gaming at all. The PC would be turned on for around 10 hours per day daily.

The min requirements for this system are shown below
- core I5 quad-core processor*
- Nvidia GTX 2gb 1050*
- 8gb ram
- SSD

*Note that it must be intel processor and Nvidia GFX.

I intend to get this unit by end of October 2017 and the budget is around 1-1.2k. I am willing to get the components from Qoo10/Lazada/Carousell/SLS based on the best price. Kindly advise on the following setup that I have came up with.

MB: Gigabytes GA-H110M-DS2
CPU: Intel I5-7400
GFX: Zotac 1050 2GB
DDR: Kingston 2400MHz CL 15 8GB
SSD: OCZ 480GB SATA III Trion-150
PSU: Superflower Leadex 650W 80+
Chasis: Tecware Alpha

Currently only the Z370 MOBO out right. Would the lower range MB be out soon or I should just go ahead and get the Z370 bundle?

The lower end Intel motherboards for Coffee Lake CPUs will be coming in Q1 2018.

still think that u should be getting a kopi lake 8400/ryzen r5 1600 for those needs. and maybe can up your budget to get those.

You can't get Intel for cheap now. Only z370 series available, for i5-8400 (which is meant for your budget group) is wasted to use on an expensive mobo which most of the features you will not use.

Nvidia gpu is fine on the other hand.

Get AMD Ryzen if you really die die need to buy a rig now. Or wait 2018 Q1 for cheaper H and B series mobo to pair with the i5 8400

Curious what video work you are doing and software used. Weird to build a pc without multithreading and just 8gb of ram if you are doing alot of encoding and stuff.
