Hi, I am looking to build a new rig. Thinking of something that look nice and decent. When i put those things together, it became this:

Mobo &CPU: Asus Maximus VII Ranger/Gene(I5 6600): 688

Ram: CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX 3000MHZ CL15 ( 8GBx2pcs ): 259

GPU: ASUS GTX 970 4GB TURBO DDR5 : 499

PSU: SF LEADEX 750w GOLD F.MOD:199

SSD: SAMSUNG EVO 850 250GB SSD:169

HDD: Western D 1TB Red: 94

Casing: NZXT H440 ATX SLIENT CASING:199

Total: $2107
Price are from PC Themes. Gonna ask them to build for me too as I not very good with it. Any comments on this? Will I need additional cooler fans?

hi Krabs, thanks for the quick reply. What do you mean red hdd need to change setting? I though is just a colour? sorry I am quite noob. If I buy some from lazada, can I still ask PC themes to assemble for me?

For the HDD, you should be getting WD Blue instead of Red. 1 TB is 70+.

Edit: WD Red is more for NAS.

Initially thinking of gaming laptop, but thought is stationery might as well improve the stats by going for desktop.

well, your stats shows its an overkill.. follow krabs advise and make changes.. keep the psu and upgrade to a Titan gpu, gaming is about graphics card.:D

hi Phen8210, so the current board not well equipped for skylake cpu?

er ur 6600 cpu wasted on that board, because u also cannot oc the chip.. go for b or h series board..

if not go for 6600k.

also state ur budget maybe someone will recommend a better build that gives more performance for ur $
