My Singtel Carrier is now 12.0.

I checked my bill for June, i am paying 0.90 cents extra from my previous consistent bills. i checked and found out it was due to global sms although it was not reflected in my sms records and i don't recall sending.

i check the bill online and it shows the following.

The number 447937985229 led me to this thread, so what is this all about?

sorry, digging up old thread..
coz I saw the Global SMS charges on my new ST bill as well..

Tho' just 0.18cents * 3 Global SMS sent.. But still wondering how did iPhone sent out these SMS without us initiating it..

The 0.18 global messages are the costs for activation of FaceTime and/or iMessages.

It doesn’t matter if you have it, cos it’s a blanket upgrade requirement..

You can refuse it but future iOS update will also incorporate it..

There’s no harm updating carrier settings too.. :$
