this is my rig below;

CPU + MOBO: i5 6500 + MSI BAZOOKA B150M
SSD: SSD Samsung evo 250 gb
RAM: Kingston ValueRAM DDR4-2133 8GB
HDD: Reusing a SATA2 as storage/backup
GFX: No GFX, using native
PSU: Reusing a Andyson F650

Boot up time is now 20secs after installation of all the drivers. I've heard of sub 10secs boot up time with SSD. Wondering if it has any thing to do with my BIOs settings.

Can try enabling MSI Fast Boot to see if it reduces at all. How many ext devices you have connected? Also affects I think.

See if you installed your OS in UEFI, and if so enable fast boot

use intel sata ports.. not the external vendors ( like asmedia ) sata port

take a look in the motherboard manual to see if u are on the right sata port..

mine is around 30-40 secs, perfectly normal

my normal 2tb toshiba HDD boots up in 30 - 40 seconds.. :s22: my zotac ssd boots in around 10 sec plus minus

Do remember even a single HDD connected to sata port as secondary storage do slow down the boot process, as it is read during the windows loading process.

I do have a old SATA2 HDD that's also hooked up to my rig, might delay for abit I guess.

Anyway I messed around with some AHCI settings and its back to 13 secs now. Guess I need to undo the other settings which I've messed up.
