Agree with all the points above. Even music wise 2013 is nice.

I personally find 胡军 version better. After all he's a barbaric Qidan. Killed someone just because he was wronged at an age of 12. Barbaric blood in him.

first time i heard the title song of the 2013 one... hmm yeah it's pretty good...

but i think the background music of 1997 one is the most epic of all time (its title track sang by 周华健 also very nice)... almost every major scenario got epic song to accompany... like these:

Ouyang Ke was a pretty good match till Guo jing learnt all the 18 palms+left/right fist. In the novel.

But well. We can't expect them to follow the novel 100% la. If not it's too predictable I guess.

Is it because he regret didn't teach Ouyang Ke toad skill and thus Ke end up kena killed.

So, he teach Yang Guo to ensure such things never happen again.

Correct me if I am wrong ... GJ had Jiu Ying zhen Jing + snake blood + 18 dragons palm + Double Hand Skill from ZBT, making him the most most competent fighter of his time.

The only person who could go on par with him ... happen to be only ZBT who refuses to use Jiu Yiong Zhen Jing skills. LOL
