Barbara Yung was amazing. I really love her. She was the first Huang Rong I watched, so the bar has been set very high. Very sad when i heard she committed suicide.

Zhu Yin and Lin Yi Cheng are beautiful ladies. But they have to portray as sweet, lively, yet intelligent and hopelessly in love. She must be extremely likable and charming. Really not easy to act.

Xiao Long Nu is easier. Just needs to have good "dao" looks, act dao, then shows some joy as long as she is with yang Guo.

The three actresses that you mentioned are so far the best candidates.
Huang Rong need to be smart, wilful and notti into one.
Yung managed to capture all the elements in her portrayal with accurate selection of all the remaining casts.

The new Master Huang is too plum and friendly looking.
