the hr and gj in loch is like the story of 1 honest country kid meeting a modern teenage girl. hr is totally unlike ancient girls and more like modern age chabor.

the ones in roch is pretty unlikeable, with the country bum becoming a stubborn and feudal mule while hr became yet another ancient era smart auntie, like those in court drama........

I read in the translated novel that many times, both GJ and HR slept in same room but of course they didn't do anything. Sleeping side by side unmarried was practically unheard of during those era. Even H7G was initially shocked after befriending them because he thought both of them were initially married in order to be so close like hugging, teasing, holding hands, etc.

In ROCH, both of them have grown up and matured.. and with the upcoming invasion, they had plenty of worries. Of the three couples in condor trilogy (GJ-HR, YG-XLN, ZWJ-ZM), GJ/HR has the worst fate because they never have a "happily ever after" and in the end, died at the battle of xiangyang.

How different?

A few parts.
Example the recent episode, YK killed OYK because he is angry with him touching MNC and not for OYF as shifu. So this part is kind of twisted.

Also supposedly is everyone spit at KY when he become the chief for the beggar, but now only 4 people Can imagine if whole gang go up spilt

How different?

The most interesting difference is the hum sup part.

HR, even though she's exceptionally intelligent and knowledgeable, has no idea where babies come from and didn't know what liang ziweng was "violating a girl" means.

There are many other differences, but relatively minor. But this part is the most memorable for obvious reasons.

Another part.. at mingxia island with GJ, H7G, OYK and OYF with OYK trapped by the huge rock.

Yes.. sometimes i wish Jin yong would write about what happen to GX and her adventures. Its only covered in first two chapters in HSDS. After her parents and other siblings are killed in xiangyang, she wandered around before eventually settling down at e-mei.

But then talking about the main couples in the condor trilogy, GJ/HR has the worst fate. From teenagers till their death, they couldn't lead a happily ever after life.. always worried about the fate of xiangyang and eventually died there.

its the upbringing. GJ was brought up by a bunch of morally upright dumb royalists. zwj was brought up by taoists and a morally ambiguous mom / god dad. zm is hr with the bad empire as her background, so she wun care 2 hoots abt helping the rebels........

GJ loves the country more than HR. ZWJ loves ZM more than the country. That's why GJ HR died while ZWJ ZM have happily ever after life.

Simple as that.

I remember HR mentioned about her own wish was to tour and play around with GJ once WYHL was killed do that gj can be fully focused with her without any worries.

but in ROCH , HR seem quite shocked YG and XLN sleep in same room , only felt relived when she peep in and saw XLN on a rope
